Who we are

Lucas Arborist Ltd is a tree surgery business registered in England and Wales. We are the data controller for any personal data you provide to us.

What data we collect

If you fill in a form or quote enquiry

• Your name
• Phone number, email, or both
• Your postcode or address
• The details of your enquiry

If you ring, message or email us

Whatever you tell us, plus your phone number or email. We don't record calls.

Why we collect it

• Legitimate interest. To respond to your enquiry and provide a quote.
• Contract. Where we've agreed work and need your details to deliver it.
• Legal obligation. Some records (invoices, insurance documentation) we have to keep by law.

How long we keep it

• Unsuccessful quotes: 12 months, then deleted.
• Completed jobs: 6 years from last invoice, per HMRC rules.
• General enquiries: 6 months, then deleted.
• Marketing list: We don't have one. No marketing emails.

Who we share it with

Nobody we don't have to. Email/CRM provider (Google Workspace), accountant, insurer (claims only), council planning offices (TPO applications, with your consent), form processor. We do NOT share data with marketing companies, data brokers, or advertising networks.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what data we hold, correct anything wrong, ask us to delete your data (unless we're required by law to keep it), and complain to the ICO. Email info@lucasarborist.com to exercise any of these.
